Foley considers restrictions on truck turns | al.com: "FOLEY, Ala. -- Drivers of large trucks wanting to turn at downtown intersections could be rerouted around the city in an effort to reduce congestion, safety hazards and curb damage, local officials said.

State and city engineers met Tuesday to study a proposal to require trucks needing to turn off Ala. 59 or U.S. 98 to use the Foley Beach Express. Since 59 and 98 are state-maintained highways, Foley must have approval from the Alabama Department of Transportation before imposing any restrictions, Wendell 'Butch' Stokes, city engineer, said Wednesday."
