Get to Know Bill Cornell: Navy retiree enjoys helping kids in south Baldwin | Press-Register Community News - al.com: "LILLIAN, Ala. -- After career in the U.S. Navy, Bill Cornell found a new calling helping children in south Baldwin County.

Cornell is president of the Optimist Club of Perdido Bay. He first learned about the group about five years ago.

'One of the members of the Optimist Club is in my church, the Methodist Church,' he said. I just found that it was a great Christian organization and involved with kids and I just jumped in.'"
