Get to Know Dave Callaway: Haven volunteer considers shelter animals his pets | Press-Register Community News - al.com: "LOXLEY, Ala. -- A lifelong animal lover, Dave Callaway decided after retiring to Orange Beach that he wanted to get involved at The Haven, the no-kill animal shelter in Fairhope, when he read about it in the newspaper.

'It’s a great organization. They keep the animals until they find them a home,' Callaway said. 'They stay fairly full with 20 dogs and at least 30 cats. And a lot of people foster animals. So they have a lot of animals.'

Callaway helps by walking dogs and helping socialize them for adoption."
