Baldwin commissioners tweak 1-cent sales tax vote wording - al.com: "BAY MINETTE, Ala. -- In March, Baldwin County voters won't be 'for' or 'against' a proposed 1-cent sales tax for county schools.
They will simply vote 'yes' or 'no.'
That change was made Tuesday to the official wording of a resolution setting a March 23 referendum for the tax, which according to estimates would generate about $25 million a year over three years for the financially ailing county Board of Education.
Commissioners voted 4-0 to reword the choices on the ballot from 'for' or 'against,' to 'yes' or 'no.'"
