Orange Beach Budget Shortfall - Orange Beach Alabama
Orange Beach Budget Shortfall - Orange Beach Alabama: "The City of Orange Beach operates a first-class tennis center, golf course and an award-winning library. But according to a local financial expert, those amenities would have to be cut to avoid a projected 242-thousand dollar budget shortfall in 2011. Al Bradley, the head of the Citizens Finance Advisory Committee, was hired by the city to find a way to stop the financial bleeding caused by the recession. Bradley, who was out of town and unavailable for an interview, say City Hall will either have to shut down the Parks and Recreation Department or raise property taxes."
