The Lady Dolphins defeated rival Spanish Fort 5-2 to force a tie atop the 5A Area 2 standings and then won a coin toss for the right to host the area tournament.

'It's nice to bring the area (tournament) back to Gulf Shores. We've been away for a couple of years and that's big,' said GSHS coach Karen Collins."
