Former Governor Guy Hunt dies

WSFA 12 News Montgomery, AL |Former Governor Guy Hunt dies: "Alabama's first Republican governor since Reconstruction, Guy Hunt, has died in Birmingham. He was 75.

Family spokesman Mark McDaniel says Hunt died at 2:55 p.m. Friday at Trinity Medical Center.

Hunt had suffered from lung cancer for several years. He was in a weak condition when he had gall bladder surgery in late November and he never recovered."
