Farmers market planned - al.com: "FOLEY — A new farmers market will provide south Baldwin County residents and tourists with entertainment as well as fresh local fruits, vegetables and other items.

The Chicago Street Farmers Market will open May 22 on the east side of Heritage Park in Foley, said Kathy Danielson, director of the Foley Convention and Visitors Bureau. She said city officials appointed a steering committee to plan the project.

'It's going great,' Danielson said Thursday. 'The committee's been working very hard, and everyone that we've talked to about the farmers market is very excited.'"
