Construction starts on Baldwin County Association for Retarded Citizens facility | Breaking News from the Press-Register - al.com: "ROBERTSDALE, Ala. -- A $6 million facility under construction will provide a home and work site for members of the Baldwin County Association for Retarded Citizens and also serve as a special-needs hurricane shelter for up to 400 people.

At a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday for the building in the Robertsdale Industrial Park on McAuliffe Street, ARC Director Kathy Fleet said the facility is scheduled to open in about a year."
