Herald Palladium > Features > A taste of the South: "My daughter Nia, her friend Stephanie and I just returned from a week in Alabama Shores, the coastal area of Alabama that encompasses two Gulf of Mexico towns, Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. We had a great time soaking up sun and doing a lot of fun stuff like taking a cruise on Sailway Charters with Captain Skip Beebe, who taught the girls how to shrimp. (Note to self: Do not go into the shirmping business. Of all the seemingly bounteous fish brought up in the net, there was just one tiny, tiny shrimp). We also the many dolphin we saw along the Intracoastal Waterway. I ate way too many fried oysters. (Another note to self: Don't get on the scales for another week or so.)"
