Firefighters to increase number of links served as event marks 30th yearFriday, March 28, 2008

Food is a part of many festivals, but over the last 30 years, one form of festival snack has become linked with not only the event, but the community.
This year, the Elberta Sausage Festival will be Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. at the town park. Steve Kirkpatrick, fire chief, said conditions this year look good.
"The weather is looking great and we're going up on the (amount of) sausage we're serving. We're out there today putting up fire department flags under the American flags and we're really looking forward to a great day," Kirkpatrick said Thursday.
