TIME FOR THE FAIR - al.com: "ROBERTSDALE — The Ferris wheel looming over the Baldwin County Coliseum was motionless Monday, but people scurried around much of the rest of the fairgrounds preparing for today's opening.

The 59th annual Baldwin County Fair begins at 4 p.m. in Robertsdale. The celebration continues through Saturday at the site on Fairground Road east of Ala. 59, said A.B. 'Sonny' Hankins, fair manager.

'It's getting close. It's busy to day, but we're getting there,' Hankins said Monday morning. 'People are putting all the booths together. To me, it's one of the better days of the year because I get a chance to meet with and talk to everybody.'"
