Judge orders insurance company to pay $1.51 million to Gulf Shores condo for Ivan damage - Breaking News from the Press-Register - al.com: "MOBILE, Ala. -- A federal judge here today ordered an insurance company to pay $1.51 million to a Gulf Shores condominium association for hurricane damage, cutting the jury's award to the maximum amount allowed under the policy.

The jury on April 8 sided with the Caribbean I Owners' Association in its dispute with Great American Insurance Co. of New York. Jurors decided that the insurance company was liable for more than $1.8 million for damage caused by Hurricane Ivan."
