New Gulf Shores police chief comes from suburban St. Louis police department | al.com: "GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Municipal officials announced today that Edward Delmore, the 49-year-old chief of the Fairview Heights Police Department in suburban St. Louis, has accepted an offer to head the south Baldwin County city's police force.
Delmore was chosen from more than 100 who applied to succeed Arthur Bourne, who retired in January after serving nearly 30 years as chief."
