The city of Orange Beach Relay for Life team is preparing for its fifth annual Big Yard and Craft Sale to be held from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Orange Beach Community Center, 27235 Canal Road.
Locals and visitors will have the opportunity to browse one of the largest combined yard sales on the island, all inside the warm Community Center. In addition, sausage biscuits and coffee will be for sale to hungry shoppers.
Proceeds from the Big Yard and Craft Sale are directly donated to the American Cancer Society on behalf of the Relay for Life campaign.
Spaces are rented to individual sellers, insuring that a wide variety of items are available for sale. In 2007, there were 30 separate booths where shoppers found great bargains, organizers said.
Anticipated items for sale include youth and adult clothing, toys, household items, sporting goods, exercise equipment, furniture and more. Arts and Crafts vendors from around South Baldwin also participate by showing and selling their wares.
The city of Orange Beach Relay for Life team is also seeking donated items for its booth. Donation receipts will be given for all items. Deliver items to the Orange Beach Community Center from 10am-7pm Friday. No clothing items or shoes.
