Highway 'Move Over' law extends to all emergency vehicles - al.com

Highway 'Move Over' law extends to all emergency vehicles - al.com: "Motorists on Alabama's highways will soon have to move over or slow down when they see any emergency vehicle on the side of the road, according to the Alabama State Troopers.

If motorists fail to move or slow down, they could face a citation.

The law requiring drivers to move into the next lane or slow down, once known as the 'Blue Light' law, was amended earlier this year to include all emergency vehicles, including wreckers, that bear flashing lights — not just law enforcement vehicles. The regulation is now known more generally as the 'Move Over' law."
