Forecasters say storm system barreling toward Gulf Coast - al.com: "Torrential rain, heavy winds and coastal flooding could assail the region as a strengthening low-pressure system moves inland from the Gulf of Mexico later today and early Wednesday, forecasters said.

On Monday, the National Weather Service in Mobile posted coastal flood and flash flood watches along with a gale watch for local waters.

A cold front that triggered rain across southwest Alabama on Monday was expected to stall in the north-central Gulf, then return as a warm front, according to forecasters."
