December 14, 2009 - Orange Beach, AL — Give the Gift of Freedom to the Dogs of Orange Beach by donating to the Orange Beach Dog Park! You can adopt a portion of fence for the dog park and honor or memorialize your beloved pet. For a $10 donation a commerative sign will be placed on the part of fence that you “adopted” in the park.
The benefits of dog parks are numerous, they are for dogs, their owners and non-owners alike. Dog parks provide a legal recreational outlet for dog owners who want to exercise and socialize their dogs in a safe, leash-free environment. They prevent unwanted encounters between unleashed dogs and other park users. They allow people with limited mobility to exercise their dogs in a safe place. A dog park in Orange Beach will provide an outlet for our visitors to exercise their pets. And these places bring people together to promote a greater sense of community for our citizens.
Unleashed in Orange Beach is a group of dog-loving volunteers dedicated to the construction of an off-leash dog park in Orange Beach. We are still seeking volunteers and donations, if you are interested, or if you would like to adopt a section of fence, please call Tracy Holiday at 251-752-2245 or Joni Blalock at 251-752-3094.
