New Pascagoula beach firming up - Local - SunHerald.com

New Pascagoula beach firming up - Local - SunHerald.com: "PASCAGOULA — A beach is growing along the seawall in Pascagoula, from The Point to the city pier.
It has been growing rapidly since the end of October, as workers pipe in sand dredged from the Pascagoula River.
When the job is done in the spring, the city will have a 200-foot-wide beach, 1 1/2 miles long.

Comalander Construction of Fairhope, Ala., is building the beach with drainage pipes and ramps for access. Enco Dredging of Gulf Shores, Ala., is piping in the sand."
