Gulf Shores eyes new beach policies, stepped-up safety patrols | Breaking News from the Press-Register - al.com: "GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Mayor Robert Craft said that he intends next week to unveil a new slate of policies for the public beach, ranging from increased safety patrols, restrictions on tents and a ban on personal watercraft rental.

Craft said Monday during a City Council work session that he and other municipal officials were wrapping up meetings this week with property management companies and other businesses that have a stake in the public beach and planned a public meeting to vet the proposed changes Tuesday at 2 p.m."
