Gas leak snarls traffic - al.com: "SPANISH FORT — Motorists on the Eastern Shore navigated a blocked portion of U.S. 31 between two major shopping areas Saturday as traffic was bypassed around a leaking gas line, authorities said.

The leak was discovered along U.S. 31 west of Ala. 181 near the entrance to the TimberCreek subdivision some time Saturday morning, state trooper and police dispatchers said.

The stretch runs from the Eastern Shore Centre to the Spanish Fort Town Center, which includes Bass Pro Shops."
