Former Marine walking across America to raise money for vets - al.com: "MALBIS — A month into his walk across America, Richard Hunsucker waved to passing cars Thursday as he carried a Disabled American Veterans flag along U.S. 90 west of Loxley.

The sun was out, and if a cold wind blew down the two-lane highway, it was no inconvenience to an ironworker and Marine veteran from Green Bay, Wis.

'This is great,' he said looking at the blue sky. 'I walked in the rain Tuesday, but that wasn't bad. The guys who fought for this country had to go through a lot more than that.'"
