Dawson named interim schools superintendent - al.com: "At their meeting Thursday, Baldwin County school board members voted to appoint JaNay Dawson, an assistant superintendent, to fill in as interim superintendent effective Jan. 1, after current Schools Superintendent Faron Hollinger's departure Dec. 31.

Dawson holds degrees from Livingston University and Troy State University and completed postgraduate work at Alabama State University and the University of Montevallo.

She was a classroom teacher in Baldwin County for 21 years, an assistant principal at Foley High for four years, principal at Fairhope High for seven years and was named assistant superintendent in 2004."
