During his 27-year career with the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Barnhill said, he was continually trying to return to this area.
Growing up on a Baldwin County farm, he and his six siblings all took part in the activities of farm life.
'I did everything from milking cows, feeding the chickens and hogs, gathering eggs and growing soybeans, corn and wheat,' he said."
