'12 Days of Fugitives' continues | tallahassee.com | Tallahassee Democrat: "Chambers escaped from the Polk Correctional Institution in 1990 by concealing himself in a truck that was leaving the facility. Chambers used tools to get out of the truck and escaped before the driver was aware he was there. Authorities say Chambers has been spotted in Orange Beach and Perdido Key, Ala. Chambers may be in the Minnesota area. Chambers was found guilty of first-degree murder May 29, 1975, for the beating death of his girlfriend, Connie Weeks."
