Budget hearings scheduled for Baldwin County schools - al.com

Budget hearings scheduled for Baldwin County schools - al.com: "Those wishing to have a say as the Baldwin County Public School System moves forward balancing next fiscal year's general fund budget — amid millions in spending cuts and hundreds of employee layoffs — will have two chances to do so before the school board votes to approve it next week.

'What you will see is a budget that is in balance,' school board spokesman Terry Wilhite said Tuesday, though he called the drop in revenue 'mind-boggling.'

The first of the two public budget hearings required by law will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday in the cafeteria at the school system's central office satellite at 1091 B Ave. in Loxley, Wilhite said."
